EXCELLENT TIRE! - Dec 15, 2014

Before I purchased it I read a bunch of reviews, most of them saying the thing wears out too quickly. I'm 240lbs, and my local terrain is primarily exposed rock, rock gardens, and the rest is sand-over-hardpack. So far I have about 10 rides on it(primarily downhill), and it's not even wearing as quick as the multitude of Minions and Holy Rollers I've owned. Matter of fact, I bought a DH bike this summer that came stock with Holy Rollers(2s) on it, and on the same terrain/descents, the rear's center knobs started chunking immediately. The thing only lasted about 5 rides. As far as traction is concerned, it's got it in Spades. I've YET to slide the front whatsoever, while with the Maxxis tires I'll slide the front every once in a while. I mounted it up tubeless and it only took a couple of minutes, and has held air perfectly. The tire measured 2.75" from outside knob to outside knob on my 29mm(internal width) wide rims

Awesome, but quality varies a lot - Nov 04, 2013

This tire hooks up like no ones business. Super grippy, and a true 2.35" tire. It is also super soft, so expect it to wear quick. I love this tire, but the quality variable. I bought three of these tires. The first is great, 4 months later it is on my bike still with very little tread. The second one came with a rip in it and had to be returned. The third one has a crooked tread, has giant kink in it, and is not the same size as the first one I bought. Inspect it before you install it. I love the tire, hate the manufacturers quality control. I'd give it 5 stars if quality didn't vary.
