Schwalbe Nobby Nic Performance 26x2.25 Folding Tire
In a class of it's own, the Nobby Nic has been an all around favorite and serial winner of MTB races for years. Why? Nobby Nic is unbelievably versatile. The tread offers unbeatable control in a wide range of conditions and thanks to its compounding and construction it is light, fast and ready for anything.
These tires grip great and look great on the bike. I had them on my enduro bike for a few months and they were great. Very light tires. The only problem I found with them is that the rubber was pretty soft and wore out pretty fast. They were pretty tuff all around tire and held up good in wet and dry conditions. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of how fast they wore out.
They hook up great, but they roll slow. I'm going back to Specialized Fast Tracks for the hard pack trails around here. Side Note: The sidewalls are rather thin, I didn't have any issues, but I could see a friendly razor edged rock ripping them to pieces if you got to close!
I use 29 version and have already worn out a bunch. Great grip on hardpack, rocks, roots and gravel - just be careful in silty mud. Converts to tubeless reasonable I guess, used a floor pump but managed with some effort. No real leaks after it popped in. Great bang for the buck and lasts a good while. I'd rather buy and wear a couple of those instead of losing big money on the snakeskin hi-end version.
These tyres came standard one my bike and I've had zero issues with them! I am buying another one now to replace my rear and am going with a Hans Dampf for the front. Seems to be a great combo for me and can't wait to get new rubber on the trail.
