The third generation Racing Ralph is designed for speed. On the 29 inch version, the knobs are elongated and arranged to make the most of the longer footprint giving it a performance advantage over the competition. The bead hook on this tire is slightly enlarged to make for easier tubeless rim seating, giving way to the "Tubeless Easy" moniker.
I've used this tire in both 2.25 and 2.10 sizes here in S.E.Michigan. It is a very fast lightweight tire with good grip. I would recommend this tire for anyone looking to go fast!
Granted...there are so many tires made for so many specific uses now that it is hard to find a great tire across all needs...BUT...the Racing Ralph has a great tread pattern for a go to tire on trails that are dry to light tack. Once it gets "coat your wheel muddy"...the tread will gunk up till you get some speed up to fling it off. I wouldn't run this tire tubed!!! It has very little puncture resistance as I found out with several small thorns puncturing front & rear on first ride. Switched to tubeless and no issues thanks to the sealant but you can see a lot of white sealant spots if you look in the tread pattern.
