Great Bike!! - Aug 19, 2013

I have been on mountain bikes for the last 20 years. I am not in to the hard core rides anymore and when it came time for a new hardtail I ordered a Sette. The value of this bike is amazing. I just started to get into road cycling and opted to purchase another Sette, knowing the quality is great and there are no surprises once the bike arrives. I set the bike up in about an hour and put 30 miles on in the next morning. Everything ran smooth except when in standing position I got the loud grinding noise from what I thought was frame flex. Turns out the front derailleur was offset just a hair, now all is good. I am past the honeymoon stage with this purchase and with a long history of bike packing I outfitted the bike with mtb pedals and shoes, and added a rear rack and have done numerous century rides on this thing. I did have issues of flat tires and was told this is normal for road bikes....hmm. So once the stock tires wore out I replaced them with armadillo tires and have not had a flat in 6 months and several hundred miles of riding. The bike is beautiful and just as bit as awesome as my Sette hardtail mountain bike. Do your self a favor and save a ton of cash and buy this bike. I was outfitted extremely well for less than a grand with Pricepoint! The only issue I see most people having is the stem. It is a bit long in my opinion and I have long arms.

Great bike for the price - Jun 30, 2013

Ordered this bike for a triathlon and to have something to tool around on when my legs are smoked from hitting the trails. Now I have trouble deciding between trail riding or all day road adventures. This bike is great and the price cannot be beat. The components aren't the greatest out there but I have had no trouble at all. I'm riding my first century ride on this bike in 2 weeks and I can't wait. The carbon rear end and fork make almost any road smooth. Sette also makes a carbon seatpost for a great price that is an awesome addition. If you are on the fence about this bike don't hesitate. Buy it! Components can always be upgraded, but I think the Tiagra are just fine. This bike is lighter and rides better than my friend's Bianchi for half the price!
