Sette Element Mountain Shoe
A great looking shoe that'll have all other cyclists wondering what you're sporting. The super ridged nylon sole transfers every bit of torque you can dish out.The power hungry aggressive outsoles allow optimum grip in all conditions, so next time you are heading big you'll have the kicks to back you up.
hands down the best intro to attached riding. Flexibility , easy to walk in ,,, cheap durable... should I go on... I have had mine for almost 6 years and they have 1000's of miles on them and they still work like a champ... Stay away from the wellsgo pedals they come with sometimes... buy a decent pair of shimano SPDs I ride these road and mountain and they are great dual purpose. I now ride SIDI ergo 5's and these shoes paved he way for me to appreciate a real pair of nice road shoes... I owe my start in riding to these shoes ... they transformed my ride and made me want to do more and more miles !!! Happy riding everyone mountain or road ;)
I've been riding this shoe for 10 years. The treads are just now starting to fall apart. The straps and velcro are still working perfectly as is the sole. Now I'm debating shoes again and these are falling to the top of the list. I'm 6'1" at 210lbs and ride these all over the east coast. They are well ventilated and even after getting wet hundreds of times, they still don't stink. Go figure.
I was looking for a shoe that can be walked in like a PI X-Alp Enduro or Shimano M077. These are not that shoe. The lugs are more of a hard plastic than a rubber. I nearly slipped trying them on on my tile. The fit was about a size too small as well. They may be a good dedicated XC shoe, but, if i wanted that type of shoe i would've got a stiffer lighter shoe. The Shimano M077 is much better for wet rocks and roots compared to this.
they've held up for a year, but the stitching is fraying, the velcro is coming lose, and the cardboard foot-bed (below the liner) is molding. Only the last could be my fault, for not thoroughly drying them.
I bought these shoes as my first in a combo deal with Time Atac Alium cleats. Overall, these are great shoes and go up to the large size I need (49). My only disappointment is they run a bit wide, and I have narrow feet, so they are a little bit loose.
I've had these shoes for nearly 6 years and they've held up over multiple seasons from flowy Midwestern singletrack to riding Slickrock Trail in Moab, UT and now cruising the rockgardens of the Black Hills. For the price, you cannot beat these shoes. If you want something a bit more comfy/secure-fitting, however, I'd opt for the Sette shoes with the buckle (but of course you'll pay just a bit more). Happy riding!
Always had problems with shoes not fitting right. I'm a 10.5/US, and WIDE!!! Bought the 45 and still some room up front. First day commute today, very comfortable. Paired with Shimano M520. To all my WIDE FEET brothers and sisters, you cannot go wrong with this shoe!
Have used these shoes for bike commuting and single track riding. Work extremely well for the price and seem to be well made.
Good value for the buck! I got mine on sale and will buy this model again. Fast drying, straps super convenient.
Good price for a functional, starter clipless shoe. Solid construction.
I bought a pair of these shoes, my first whit cleats and i use it with shimano pedals, that was more than a year ago, and they are in a great conditions i use them 3 or 4 times a week, on streets, hard terrain, mud, and also hiking with my bike and crossing smalls rivers, they are very easy to put, just a few seconds and you're ready to go, i would recommend this to anyone!
I've put these shoes through four seasons of hard riding both on and off road, and under many different conditions. They've held-up quite well, and should last for a long time. Sizing is pretty accurate, but might run a tad smaller, which is what I needed. Upper mesh material breathes well in the summer, and I actually use them with insulated shoe covers during the winter. They've taken a lot of abuse, and still look good. Great value for any rider.
I ordered these shoes and feel great easy too wear and really comfortable only bummer is a metal screw in spike was missing from my pair of shoes and am still waiting for it to arrive in the mail from sette I called in to let them know my order was missing apiece and they told me they would send it to me it's already been a month and still waiting Hope your order isn't missing a cleat or you'll have to walk funny when u wear them like me
This was my first clip less shoe and I am still using them today. The are amazing for the price but could be a bit lighter.
Shoes are a bargain and are holding up really well to me abusing them :) Would recommend.
If you are looking to save a few bucks and get a good quality shoe, this is it. I have had zero problems with this shoe. In fact i have loved how they fit and their durability. I have hiked my bike in them and even been through a river in them. These are worth every penny of the price.
I purchased these as my intro to clip less riding, having never ridden "connected" before. The fit was great out of the box and once I got the pedals adjusted they work very well. Sizes run a little small as others have stated, so if you are in between sizes on the chart, go up.
Picked these up for my 12 year old son. He loves them and the quality for the price is 2nd to none
Got shoe delivered this past week, shoes look well made and sturdy. Tried them one before installing clips and came to find out they felt tight, toes reached the front of shoe, I'm an 11.5 and wide foot, got size 46 which should fit a size 12 like indicated on underside of tongue. I'm returning for an exchange to a bigger size. My advice go one size up.
I use these with the shimano m520 and they work well together. Sizing may run just a bit large but not outrageous. Very stiff with minimal padding or cushion but not uncomfortable. Easy on easy off. I've had them for almost a year and I'd buy again.
Love the Velcro straps, great adjustability and secure. The shoes are new so I expect a little discomfort around the ankle padding. Nice strong platform to pedal off of. The screw in toe spikes are absolutely awesome. These things dig in and make the necessary climbs easy. I'm a 9.5+ and the 43's fit perfect with a medium sock. Was hesitant, took a chance and am happy with the product. And of course you know this: PricePoint is excellent!
The shoe was really bad. No arch to it at all. The sides the shoe cut into my ankle also. This is after a 7 mile mtb ride. I really don't know why this company would make such a bad shoe and try to sell this. Spend the extra money and buy anything but this shoe. After this game with the company, I'm not buying anything from here again. Real problems with returns. Good luck.
Ordered these shoes as my first ever mtb shoes. Glad I went clipless for the trails. I wear a size 10 1/2 and 45 fit well. The shoe itself is comfy and the sole does a great job of maintaining grip on slick or loose trails when carrying or walking the bike.
Just tried these shoes out today . I wear a size 10 1/2 and a 45 fit perfect . Great shoe for the price ! It was my first time going clipless and I wonder why I waited . I used Shimano PD - M530 pedals with Shimano SH 56 cleats and got in and out of the pedals with no problem. I'll never go back to cages ! Try them out !
I wear a size 11 shoe so I ordered a size 45 that is suppose to be for US size 11 to 11.5. My toes were touching the end of the shoes. I exchanged them for a size 46. Fit is much better. Just got them and took them out for their first ride. Shoes were comfortable and wored well. Recommend ordering 1 size larger.
