Sette Nyx Ti Rail Saddle
The new Sette Nyx saddle makes uncomfortable lightweight saddles a thing of the past. Rear relief groove and comfort centers ensure a smooth, comfortable ride.
I have 2 of them in my 2 MTBs. The oldest has been on duty since 2009. They are light, confortable, affordable and durable.
Meah.. nice and light, decent padding, seems well made, just not a great fit for me. Pick one up and see if it fits. The $ to grams ratio can't be beat.
When my saddle arrived, two things immediately caught my attention: 1, the box weighed nothing. I think the saddle weighs less than the packaging it came in. 2, the saddle doesn't have much padding. I was a little nervous about number 2. But, then I put the saddle on my bike and tried it out. It is hard. But somehow, it is really comfortable. The saddle I had before this one had too much padding. This one is just right, as Goldilocks would say. I haven't taken it on any super long rides yet, but I am looking forward to it. I am really happy with this saddle.
This is one of the most comfortable saddles I have owned, but saddles are personal in fit. The only down side is that you do need to replace it every 2-3 years, but that is not unusual for most saddles.
For the price this scores high in all departments of saddle characteristics. And for that reason I have this saddle on my training bike which gets more miles than any of my other bikes. It is a tad heavier but more than a tad more comfortable than the lightest road racing saddles at a fraction of the cost.
I have been riding this saddle for a few seasons now and really couldn't be happier. As with any lightweight saddle, there was an initial adjustment, but it has held up well and you can't beat it for the price.
lasted 100s of miles and molds over time
There's no "butt break in" for this one, it just hurts!
