A great alternative to star nut! Much faster and easier to install and doesn't require a star nut seating tool! Really keeps your headset/steerer assembly together and never had a problem with it loosening itself. Only bummer is that you can only use it on 1 1/8 steerer tubes.

This product is probably little known. But worth your attention. I could not get an expander plug , or a star nut ( a big no no ) , to stop slipping in my carbon steerer tube. This product solved the problem! Nice tight bearing tension. Added stiffness over a star nut or expander. Super easy to use. Light weight for its purpose. Just get one. Set and forget.

So much easier than the star-fangled nut. Upgrade parts cost less than the proper tool for seating the nut, and no risk of damage for those with a carbon tube.
