I had been riding a Sette Flite for two years when I decided to pull the trigger on a 29er hard tail after being left in the dust when climbing hills. I had reasonably good luck with the Flite so going with a second Sette was an easy choice. for the money its hard to beat. It's been great, climbs like nobodies business and is packed with great components for the price. With the exception of the freehub. they really should have opted for a better set of hubs. I had to send my rear whell back after putting about 100 miles on it. poor design of the pawls. it's been two weeks since I initially contacted pricepoint and I'm still waiting for them to ship me a new wheel. Hopefully the replacement lasts a little longer. Assuming I ever get a replacement wheel, I'll submit another review when more time has been put on the bike.
I purchased this bike during the $250 off of $999 or greater purchase sale and I love it! Wanted a reasonably priced 29er hard tail in addition to my Epic Comp 29er FSR and the carbon frame was a bonus. Components alone cost more than the sum of the bike. Other than a flat tire I've been riding this bike exclusively since I've got it. It is very light and responsive. I ride in the mountains of central PA where there are a lot of climbs and rocks and this bike ROCKS! Pulled the tubes and went tubeless with Stan's universal rim strips. Rims are narrow and a bit heavy and the tires are thin walled and small lugged so they will probably be the first upgrades. Otherwise this is the complete package that I would recommend to anyone looking for a lightweight inexpensive 29er hard tail.
