Whatever they're made of, they work great! I've broke Pedros, I've broke park's. But these, I'm only broke once and I was really yankin on it. I have to say that I learned a little secret to help me remove tires from rims. Especially tough pesky wire beaded DH tires. I figured oil or grease would gum up under the rim. So I thought, what would be water soluble and still be slippery enough to make rubber slip better because soapy water drys too fast. KY JELLY! Combined with these Sette Tire levers, you can't go wrong. If I can get a Maxxis Wire Beaded Minion over my DH rims, using these levers, then anyone can get off their tires with these levers. I used them on my road bike the other day without any lube and they came off so easily. So 5 stars for Sette on this one! They got Max Leverage on the competition! And try the KY Jelly trick! I came up with it! It's funny, but it works and you'll never hate putting tires on after you try it.
