Sette Serum ISM XTR Carbon Mountain Bike
The all-new Serum represents the ultimate incarnation of Sette's legendary lineage of cross country race weaponry. Expertly crafted from 3K High Modulus carbon fiber, the Serum incorporates an integrated seat mast for optimal power transfer and rigidity where you need it most.
As with its predecessors the Serum's geometry, to put it simply, is dialed. From short track events to week long epics across the Alps, Sette's XC bikes are renowned for handling that's the perfect blend of razor sharp and confidence inspiring.
The parts spec is nothing less than top-of-the-line. The drive train, brakes, and wheelset are Shimano M975 XTR. A Fox 32 F-100 RLC FIT fork and an FSA bar and stem take care of the Serum's front end.
In a 19" size with an uncut seat mast, the Serum checks in at 19.4lbs without pedals.
Ideally, if you're considering the Serum ISM you're the type of rider who can rattle off your seat height quicker than your phone number. If you're not, it's not a problem but it makes this next part much more important.
Trimming the seat mast to size is a pretty straightforward process and everything you need is included down to the carbon fiber friendly hacksaw but we can't stress enough the importance of the old adage "measure twice and cut once."
The Serum's mast cap provides up to 15mm of adjustment. This is plenty of room to account for future changes in equipment that can affect your seat height such as pedals, shoes and saddles.
If you're at all unsure about your "proper seat height" we highly recommend getting a professional fitting before setting up the Serum ISM. When you're making an investment in professional level equipment it only makes sense to invest yourself as well.
