Sette Single Chainring Bolt Set
Superlight 7075 T-6 alloy, rust and corrosion resistant chainring bolts. These bolts will not seize up in your cranks even after years of use. They come in anodized black.
I put the bolts onto the crank. After one ride to school and back I noticed that the bolts had become loose. I fastened them back with an allen wrench. The next day as I was going to school the bolts snapped and needless to say I almost ate dirt and got hit by a car. I am an average male weighing around 175lbs. I feel cheated and hope you take a second thought before purchasing these.
These chainring bolts work great for a single ring setup, and quality is good. They can be broken by overtightening but don't seem to be any more frail than any other alloy chainring bolts.
Was changing from a 3x8 setup to a 1x8. Works perfect with race face narrow wide chain ring!
Perfect for converting my 3x9 setup to a 2x9!
If you're converting a mountain bike to single speed, and you want to eliminate the other chain rings, you need these bolts. It makes for a very clean install and appearance when you're done. I used them on my Specialized Rock Hopper conversion, and the end result was much better than those I've seen where they left the middle chain ring or tried to use washers. One of my goals in converting to single speed was to eliminate any parts (weight) that weren't needed, and these helped with that goal.
