Sette Triton 12 Function Wireless ComputerIn an age where cycling computers can do just about everything short of actually pedaling your bike, sometimes simpler is better- especially if your number one goal is owning a computer that isnt the size and weight of a mid 90's cell phone.
Good wireless computer for the price Not the best one out there, but it does the job. I once lost the magnet on the spoke tough, had to zip tie another one to the spokes.
The design is simple, set up is easy, and the price is right. However, the strength of either the sensor or the magnet should be increased considerably. I know this will drive up the cost to the users, but I'd be HAPPY to pay an extra $10 if it meant that I didn't have to lean the sensor in toward my spokes just so it can read the magnet. The Cat Eye version my wife has on her bike allowed for a streamlined install of the sensor, and it could read the magnet mounted near the spoke crossover. Of course, it cost almost double what this Sette is. Will know more on durability after a few rides. Until then, happy trails . . .
This is a great little computer. It has all the features I wanted and nothing superfluous. It's super easy to operate and read while riding. Easy to install and set up too. Price is unbeatable.
Over the past few years I've purchased 3 of these. I like the compact size and are simple to use. Each lasted two years or less. None of them are working now. I've tried new batteries but when they quit working they are pretty much done. I also bought one of the larger Sette models, the Quantum X-2, and it has lasted longer.
This computer is very stylish and easy to use. The price is unbeatable and you get all the needed functions. The build quality seems very good but the magnet is in a plastic housing that is easily over tightened and then cracks. I keep the Cateye magnets around which while also in plastic, is not as prone to breakage.
I have several different versions of this computer (even with different brands printed on it) and it is a great little unit. It is easy to program, has great battery life, and I like the temperature and calorie features. It can be mounted on the handlebar or the stem so you have options there. I don't have any complaints about this at all.
I purchase this item the first one I returned it because the battery lid latches broke so easy them expect the new wont have the same issue but same thing occur again I recommend the sette quantum this one is a waste of money i would rate it with a zero but it does not give the option
If you're looking for a basic computer this fits the bill. Setup is pretty straight foward, includes all the necessary mounting hardware. I use it on my MTB mostly for keeping track of my velocity during training and overall mileage for maintenance purposes. The sensors have held up well. The only real issue is that it has only two buttons, one on the very back of the unit that you can't reach unless you remove it from the bike mount.
Magnet fell out of sensor after 2 rides and of course you can not just buy that part.
I was a little disappointed with this product it has some small issues with getting through some of the different modes but overall it was easy to install and works fairly accurate..
Solid simple computer. Accurately displays what it should. Durable, easy to use, good battery life. Great bang for the buck if you want a simple easy computer.
