The MT50 is part of Shimano's line of pedals featuring their Click'R system. The advantage of a Click'r pedal is one that's 60% lighter in-and out-of-step than the SPD. Enjoy Click'r on both sides of the pedal. The MTB trail inspired cosmetic spikes on the surrounding platform provide a bit more surface area for mis-clip-ins or if you choose to ride with a cleat-free shoe.

Q: what is the weight of these pedals? I want an easier release system, but will they hold for the majority of off road conditions? thanks!
A: These pedals are approximately 498 grams and this pedal is part of Shimano's Click'R system which will help the rider clip in and out a lot easier compared to the normal SPD system. This pedal is also optimized for trails so it should be fine for off-road conditions.
Q: Will this fit the Shimano SH-MT33L pedal?
A: Yes these pedals will work with Shimano SH-MT33L shoes.
Q: What is the degree of float in these pedals?
A: 4 degrees
Q: Will these pedals work with other Shimano SPD cleats?
A: Yes! These are compatible with SPD 2 bolt cleats. They will come with cleats as well.
I switched my hybrid OE pedals for these because I can ride the bike with my Clip shoes and also I can share the bike with my son, he still rides with regular shoes. Pedals are extremely light and keep clean. It worth a five but since it doesn't have a reflector I would give it a four.
I really like these pedals. I've been hesitant to go clipless on my mtn bike but these pedals have made the transition pretty easy. If you want pedals that you can get out of quickly, these are good ones! But I have yet to come out of them when I didn't want to either. Definitely glad I bought these!
