Shimano used a two-piece construction for their RT76 rotor. The center section is made out of aluminum, while the braking surface is stainless steel. The two piece design helps reduce heat build up and resists warping, ensuring a long life of trouble free breaking.

on six bolt rotors then this is not a bad way to go. The rotor runs cool and quiet. It is a good rotor. Just make sure it is compatible with your brakes. Bigger spiders like that can sometimes bump into certain calipers.
