Shimano SH-XC30 Mountain Shoe
The XC30 shoe is a great choice for the new mountain biker who needs a roomier toe box to accommodate wide feet. A durable and lightweight rubber tread provides excellent traction and walking comfort. The XC30 is a well-priced shoe that offers everything for the entry-level rider.
Bought this as my second pair of mtb shoes last fall for a 12 hour race. They have been a great shoe and I havent noticed any areas of wear or tear. If you're looking for a beginner shoe to get started with cleats, I wouldnt have any reservations about this pair.
I bought this shoe last fall for a 12 hour race. It it's the second pair of mtb shoes I have owned and, for the price, I don't regret it. Nothing seems to be tearing or wearing too fast on them yet. Would gladly recommend them.
So far I'm super happy with these shoes. I've got wide feet and was worried about moving into the clipless world but these fit very, very well. I'd recommend them to anyone with wide feet.
These are a great pair of shoes. The rigidity of the sole and it's grip for rocky and muddy conditions are the best in my opinion. I live in a area with really hot summers and it has fair enough vents given the price range.
I've recently gotten a bit more serious about mountain biking and decided to go the clipless pedals route. I love these shoes and my clipless pedals! Mind you, this review is coming from a noob but they feel great and perform great too. It took awhile to situate the cleats where they feel best but now I can't imagine not going clipless. The straps are easy to adjust on the fly and are really sturdy. They look pretty good too. I was recommended to buy Shimano "hook and loop" shoes by a veteran mountain biker and I am not disappointed. He told me he's had similar shoes for years and they are still holding up well. Very happy with my purchase!
