Tough, sleek, and excellent performance are the top qualities from this XC racing performance shoe. You'll look fast just standing in place with the SH-XC61LE shoes strapped to your feet. The upper is a sturdy synthetic leather that provides great protection and durability. The buckles are low-profile and micro adjustable. The sole is lightweight, stiff, and has a lower stack height which provides superior energy transfer and efficiency.

Great for wide monkey feet - Oct 02, 2015

After trying on every other brand of shoes (seriously, I spent a couple thousand ordering all the shoes I couldn't get at my LBS), Wide-width Shimano's are the only one that fit my feet. Lots of "wide" shoes provide extra girth throughout the shoe. Since the width of my feet are primarily in the toes, the wider toe-box of Shimano shoes are the only winner. From a shoe design stance, there are much nicer for the price. The ratchet is basic, and actually digs into the side of the foot a little. Velcro straps usually need to be readjusted a few times. Build quality is excellent - these just don't get all the bells/whistles you find on other brands these days. But when every other brand focuses on narrow pixie feet, Shimano is a life saver for making a proportionally accurate wide shoe.
