Awesome cranks for the price - Jun 08, 2014

I purchased this crankset back in 2012. I have to say that I have been thoroughly amazed by them. They are light and stiff and have never let me down. The 2x rings are awesome and I went to a 2x9 set up from a triple. I also tried to do a 2x10 setup with these rings and they worked flawlessly. The bash guard is a nice touch even if its on the heavy side. It's burly. If you want, you can take it off and replace it with a lighter weight aluminum guard. The shifting on these rings was also spot on. Never any lag - so long as the front derailleur is properly tuned. The bearings haven't had any noise or play in them. They just keep on turning. I'm very impressed with this set. I've got it set up as a 1x10 using the raceface narrow-wide ring and the wolftooth components GC. The crankset took those parts without any complaints.

Just What I Needed - Apr 30, 2014

Why did I have a 40-tooth ring on my mountain bike, I asked myself one day. The only time I could ever get in that gear was going downhill on pavement when I was trying to keep up with traffic, which was almost never. This was the perfect upgrade to make my bike a 2x9. I have full season on it now and there's no squeaks, creaks, or weirdness. It weighed in at 1005 grams, which is actually about 100 grams heavier than my old XT Octalink cranks and bottom bracket combined. But now I have more clearance going over stuff, and it looks great. I was then able to transfer the XT triple cranks to my urban commuter.

Super reliable set... - Sep 10, 2013

This crankset has held up to massive amounts of abuse and the bash guard has saved my chain rings a multitude of times and still looks new. Light, tough, includes bottom bracket and is easy to install. Shifts superbly and has never let me down. Aesthetically pleasing as well. For the value you cannot find better...get one!
