I purchased this derailleur after my XT was toast, I use this for 1x10 and it does a better job of keeping the bike silent compared to the xt. It may be a little heavier, but more durable no doubt. I've taken a few derailleur strikes out on the trail and it didn't even bend it. Still going strong with a few scars. If durability is a top priority, look no further.

I had problems with a Shimano Zee derailleur and bought this to replace it. Holy crap! It shifts really solid and clean, and is really, really precise. never a mis-shift. I can't say enough about how nice this unit is. I think it works better than the XTR stuff even, I only ran this on an 11-28 cassette for reference. While not spec'd for it, I would assume you can cram a 32 tooth gear in there without issues. You will like it. Shifting with 100% confidence is an awesome thing when you are peddling as hard as you can.
