Great Design, Great Product - Jun 06, 2014

This pack really conforms to your body and you will forget its there. I like all the different compartments especially having the cloth lined pocket for my phone. I did take away one star because the mouth piece did leak and I had to replace it. May have been a one off defect but the cold water dripping done my leg in March made for some long rides.

Nice use of space, forward thinking - May 01, 2014

This pack got so so reviews from online magazine reviewers, for moving around. I found this to false IMO. But there is one less strap . You can fit the pack from inside for your exact height. Unclip one buckle and swing it around to get inside. Easy to put back on geared up . I might of liked full criss cross of bungie cord to lash down a jacket. It's my second review as I bought one for my 18yr daughter. I think the packs fitment for females is very good as well . Our only complaints were taste of mouth piece or hose , it's not the bladder. One star off for not being taste tested by shimano, if some one would have i'll bet it would been fixed. But these were 50 % off so soak in baking soda and water.

Great pack - Apr 30, 2014

This pack is fantastic as far as comfort. Has inside exact heigth adjustment . My daughter and I used on our first single track ride 4.5 hrs hardly noticed it was there. It doesn't move around like some onlie magizine reviews said. I stuffed my coat in but couldn't zip it" too big" the stretchable fabric kept it in great. The shapes you see in picture on outside don't show up like that in real world. Strap pockets would be bigger & better if the had a flap instead of the way they seal inside. There was a terrible taste in mouth piece or hose that is hard to get rid of , I did baking soda and water followed by lemon juice now so so. 5 stars on design 1 star for hose or mouth piece taste

My first really good backpack. - Apr 30, 2014

Torrance, CA

This is the first time i purchased a cycling backpack, and i am satisfied with it 100%. All storage areas is good and don't feel useless. Access from the sides is good too. It resists some water spray from rear wheel very well. The only downside is that i miss a lower strap a little bit - on the trails the backpack moved on the body a little. But maybe, straps was too loosely adjusted. Need to try with more tight on.

Well thought out design - Apr 24, 2014

YORK, PA

After owning numerous Camelbaks and most recently a Geigerrig 500, I am pleased to say that this pack has storage areas that are well designed and very easy to use. The X-harness takes a little getting used to but I like that there's only one clip to secure the pack. It does make my jersey shirt bunch up a bit due to the positioning. Adjustment is very accommodating to any sized rider. Access to the hydration bladder is a bit constricted and securing the top snap to keep it in place is not easy. Riding with this pack feels natural and comfortable, sans the occasional cinching around the "X" in the front. I would highly recommend this pack especially at the $39 price I paid.

Nice fit around the shoulder, no strain at all on my shoulder. The only problem is you have to take the water pouch with the hose to fill with water.

This was purchased for my by my gf as a gift to replace my very well worn camelbak brand bag. This one holds all the gear i could need for a long ride, and stays in place on my back very well, non of that shifting around fast corners ect that you see with lesser bags.

I was skeptic at first about the X harness... but it works great, roomy and this bag is well made... after its under the SHIMANO brand so you can't go wrong. And for the price, worth every penny.

This is a great pack. It is nicely engineered for all of my tools, water and personal items. Its light and the x straps very comfortable. I didn't realize that you could adjust the straps from inside the pack to make it more comfortable

bought this pack to replace my old camelbak. Thus far i love everything about this over my old one. Same volume for water, but is lighter, breathes better, looks way cooler and the pockets are awesome. Helps keep gear organized and a nice soft pocket for valuables. Got a great deal through pricepoint and glad i made the purchase.

This is a great multi-use pack. I love that it stays in place without having a belt around my waist. Can be used for running as well. I've had a Deuter Race for years, but I think this is my new go to pack.

Great fit - Apr 04, 2014

1 2 3

Gulfport, MS

I love this pack, it fits very well and is the perfect size for the stuff i need. What i really like about it is how it only has 2 straps and still manages to stay on your shoulders with no movement. What i don't like about it so far is the taste of antifreeze/crushed pill from the mouthpiece or bladder. I rinsed the mouthpiece several times in water and to no avail still has a terrible taste. If it continues to have a terrible taste i will give it a few more uses before i exchange it. The sale price was unbeatable and it has a fantastic fit, but the taste is one thing i can't just shrug off. If there was no apparent taste or even a mild plastic taste - this would easily be a 5 star review.

6L Unzen - Apr 02, 2014

Excellent pack. Very lightweight, yet still durable. The fit is amazing, I barely knew it was there once it was adjusted (internal and external adjustments). The Hydrapak bladder is different (from Camelbak), not worse, better in manny ways (easy to clean, easy to dry). the access from the side is odd, but its easy to get used to./ Great pack.

Light and ergonomic - Apr 02, 2014

1 2 3 4
4 out of 5 stars
Newark, DE

I purchased the 6L pack looking for a lighter weight pack for races or shorter rides as compared to my existing 100oz Camelbak Mule. The pack itself is extremely light, and very comfortable to wear. I had no trouble adjusting the straps using the internal velcro system. I was a little worried that the cross-chest straps would interfere with the position of my heart rate monitor strapped to my chest, but the two play well together with the straps crossing just above the sensor. The only downside to the pack itself is that the waist pockets have very strong velcro which makes them hard to open one-handed. The Hydrapak reservoir was a new experience for me after 15+ years using Camelbak's technology. It is made of a much lighter weight material, and I can easily turn the whole bladder inside-out to clean & dry which is fantastic. The whole end opens to fill, which is handy, but took some care to fill since the bladder isn't as rigid as I'm used to. I couldn't quite seem get the flow I'm used to out of the bite valve, and did experience the occasional drip. It would be trivial to swap it for a different brand of nipple to suit personal preference if necessary.
