Shimano XT M770 3X9 Crankset

Engineered for the way you ride!

Shimano XT M770 Hollowtech II Crankset with BB features an aluminum inner ring, a steel/carbon composite construction middle ring for double the durability, a thicker, stiffer aluminum 44T ring and amazing shifting performance throughout.

Integrated bottom bracket and crankset design reduces the number of parts, significantly cuts down weight and increases rigidity. Hollowtech II designs allow the bottom bracket bearings to be spaced more widely. This dramatically changes the loads on the bearings to increase rigidity and bearing service life.

I converted mine to a 2x and put a bash guard on it, and have been riding it without problems for over two years. Shimano drivetrain is bomber.

Reliable and stiff. Great value, and the XT bottom bracket has lasted me 5 years and is still going strong.

Great product. Absolutely nothing negative to say about the performance -- the feel and perform and look great! Of course it is a tad costly to buy individual parts (versus the group) but if you are like me, and have a bad knee, shorter cranks which aren't typical in a group, are helpful. You will need 2 tools to install -- bottom bracket tightening tool and the thing that allows you to set the compression on the bearings or just purchase the Park bbt 9 which has both. Take care tightening the non-drive crank torque nuts as they strip easily -- I purchased 3 extra Hollowtech II crank nuts.
