Together with double rear derailleur "Shimano Shadow RD" was specially designed for all mountain riding. Together with double-servo-panta mechanism derailleurs now, you have the right choices for several off road styles. New XT disc brake with a new level of performance and controllability, features high power braking. "Engineered for the way you ride". With the same concept as XTR?, new Deore XT? is born.
Shimano XT M770 Hollowtech II Crankset w/ BB features steel/carbon composite construction and middle gear for double the durability, thicker and stiffer 44T ring, and amazing shifting performance.
Integrated bottom bracket and crankset design reduces the number of parts, significantly cuts down weight and increases rigidity. Hollowtech II designs allow the bottom bracket bearings to be spaced more widely. This dramatically changes the loads on the bearings to increase rigidity and bearing service life.

I've had this crankset for a while now on my xc hard tail. It is everything I needed. It shifts well, wears well, and looks good too. I was initially in the market for an XTR setup but the price put me off. I was worried that the rings on the XT would wear out, but so far so good. I'm also still on my original BB! Because of this I went with a full XT drive train and I haven't looked back. Great crank set within a great group! Highly recommended!
