Showing Questions 1-2 of 2

Q: What's the difference between these "Pre-Bled" brakes and the regular that I guess aren't Pre- bled. What is this and what does it mean. Why is there a big prie difference? Thank you

A: Pre-Bled brakes have the hydraulic oil in them and are ready to be installed out of the package and do not need to be bled or hydraulically adjusted.

Q: Does this brake also have the carbon fiber brake lever? Is there an XTR with aluminium levers. I try and keep carbon fiver as far away from my MTB as possible since it breaks easily.

A: I apologize but they only come with the carbon levers. I think you would be very satisfied with carbon parts on your mountain bike.

Best XC disc brakes ever - Apr 02, 2014

These are by far the best brakes I've ever owned. Pretty to look at, simple, light and powerful. adjustable reach is nice. My feeling is that these are a bit less grabby than the XT brakes, which are also excellent. In other words, they modulate well despite having plenty of power. Best of all no squealing or noise.

Paired these XTR M985's with RT-86 rotors and couldn't be happier with the result. Fantastic braking feel that doesn't grab nor threaten to throw over bars like some of the other high-power brakes. Never heard them make a noise, just what I was looking for. These do have a lever position adjustment screw which requires an allen wrench to adjust. They don't have servo-wave (with it's own adjustment screw on the Trail version) which is why I bought them... I prefer the more linear modulation these vs. the Trail which is designed to become more powerful as the lever is pulled farther.

Best brakes in the game. Extremely powerful, super light, smooth lever pull, non-modulated feel
