Sidi Duran Mountain Shoe
Duran is the latest MTB offering from the originator of the first dedicated MTB shoe. Experience the performance and comfort gains that come from truly perfect fit, with a 3-strap upper designed around Sidi's legendary last/foot form that allows independent adjustment at the forefoot, metatarsal area and instep for a snug fit that eliminates power-robbing foot slip and improves pedaling efficiency. This isn't entry-level, it's entry to the high end of cycling footwear performance - European hand craft, absolutely perfect fit and super-efficient drive.
I can rave about these shoes but the truth is shoes are a personal thing according to what your feet like, so if your feet don't like these you'll hate them and rate them poorly. After trying a bunch my feet liked these, they're wider than most which for me was great. The velcro system is simple and fast to use even while pedaling. These shoes are a high mid level shoe thus the stiffness ratio is the same as their high end models but uses some cheaper materials to keep the price down. I don't use these for MTBing but rather for road use but I like to ride to towns and walk around a bit and these work great for that, but as far as getting into mud and dirt type terrain to see how much traction they have I haven't done so can't comment on that, but they do work nicely for walking around on pavement, grass, small stones, and dry dirt, they do come with 2 toe spike holes in case you need that sort of thing. They do use a replaceable footbed which I ended up getting a Specialized one after a foot scan was done. Overall I'm very happy with them.
