DH bikes and parts are not cheap, and if you're riding yours like you should be, a good part of your income probably goes to replacing parts. Well, if you go through helmets like you do derailleurs, or if you just want to save some cash, then make the 661 Comp Shifted Helmet your next full face lid.
Judging by the features on the Comp Shifted, you'd think 661 got their price points confused; this looks like a two-hundred dollar helmet, easy. All the edges are covered with trim, ample ventilation holes are protected from debris by mesh screens, and there's even a moto-style breathe port on the chin bar. Then top it off with an adjustable visor and advanced styling, and you're laughing all the way to your next bike purchase.
Great helmet! adjustable visor, snug fit, only down side is that pads aren't removable but other than that it's a great value.
I was not sure what to expect from a helmet at this price. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived with the fit and finish as well as how comfortable it is, it even ventilates well. I hope I never find out how well it protects but I'm sure it will do fine.
Super awesome helmet, with the lowest price around. Can't beat the fit, comfort, and price.
I love this helmet! It is very comfortable (and stylish). It is very solid and great quality. For the price tag, I think this helmet is one of the best out there. However, it's not perfect. The pads inside are supposedly removable and washable but trying to remove the pads can be a nightmare, but not a huge deal. My biggest complaint is that I can't wear goggles with it, it sits too low on my forehead, but that may be a personal issue because my friend has the same helmet and wears his goggles all the time. My helmet is a little large on my head, but I should've checked out 661's sizing chart first. Masonsuu@gmail.com
