The 661 Rage Knee Guard has an internal softcap, velcro elastic straps, side impact EVA foam and stretch kevlar. They're comfortable enough to pedal in and will protect your knees from minor spills or aggressive Tebowing.
I've been using Fox launch hard shell knee/shin guards for years. They were worthless for climbing but provided great protection for DH and jumping. Nevertheless the elastic straps finally gave out and I decided to try the 661 rage knee guards. The 661 rage knee guards are probably the most comfortable knee pads I've ever worn, I don't even notice them on the climbs. No wrecks yet but they feel strong and padded enough to hold up. As usual price point was on point with great pricing and fast shipping.
When I tried 'em on the knee pads weren't curved, nor did they attempt to bend around my knee cap. Now that I've worn 'em several times, they've loosened up a bit, but since the first time I wore 'em on the trail, they've slid down my legs, rendering themselves useless for protecting my knees.
Good protection and comfortable, have held up well.
I tried several brands of knee pads prior to purchasing a pair of 661 Rage Knee Guards. I’m glad I kept looking. The 661’s fit so well I don’t notice I have them on. They don’t slip and I like the extra side protection they give. They are not bulky and fit as I expected a size large to fit. I highly recommend these.
