Titan Chain Wear Indicator
Stay ahead of the game with the Titan Chain Wear Indicator. Poor shift quality and premature wear can be associated with a worn chain. A Chain Wear Indicator informs you that your chain has stretched beyond the manufacturer's recommended specs. Replace it before it reaches that point with the Chain Wear Indicator. This tool is very intuitive; you place one end in a link and then try to see if the other end slips in another link. If both ends fit the chain has stretched and needs to be replaced.
I got into mountain biking several months ago and have been averaging over 200+ miles each month. Although my FS MTB was brand new in August, I was concerned about the condition of my chain. Although my MTB checked out from its free 60 day inspection, I still had concerns over the chain. Seeing this tool and its ease of use, I purchased this Titan Chain Wear indicator and am pleased as punch. It's very easy to use and based on where my chain measured, I may have another month to go before replacing it. Stay proactive and don't wait for your chain to slip and rough shifting. If you wait too late, you may need to replace your entire drivetrain: Crank(s), chain and cassette. This chain measurement tool is inexpensive and a good thing to have in your tool box at home.
Dial chain wear indicators have pins that are easily bent into a position that indicates your chain is more worn than it actually is. Unless you take a Dremel to the Titan, it's always going to give the same measurements.
Pretty much foolproof tool! Works great.
Good cheap way to check your chain wear rather spend money on this and chain than new cogs
This is easy to use comes with instructions and can save your Cassette and front chain rings from an early demise due to riding a stretched out chain. It's a must have for someone who puts in a lot of miles.
This is a must have tool if you are in to bikes, its cheap and accurate.
Easy to use and doesn't take up much space. Now I don't have to wonder when it's time for a new chain.
Gadget takes the guesswork out of chain wear; simple to use go-no-go style fits just about anywhere & with no moving parts it's pretty hard to make it wear out. Also easy to clean after checking that nasty chain prior to cleaning (a waste of time if the chain is dead anyway).
For the price very worth having. With drivetrain being so important. This neat little tool is used in seconds. I thought of changing my chain sooner. But now I feel confident when to with this.
