The Titan Chain Whip is made to be strong and durable. It efficiently holds the cogs when removing the cassette lockring. This tool can also be used to remove the cogs from a freewheel. And it has a comfortable non-slip rubberized handle to give you the best grip when applying high amounts of torque.
This works. But when something almost as cheap and infinitely better is out there, why even bother. If you're thinking about removing cassettes on a semi-regular basis, then buy a Pedro's Vice Whip instead. I have never seen a better solution to this particular problem.
this thing does what it is supposed to do
To the tools defense, the rear cassette on my bike was stuck on there.. I ended up actually cutting it off with a cutoff. But the chain whip broke several times, and the handle bent during the whole escapade.
This tool is very helpful for me, I now can do maintancene work to my 29er, work very well and have a solid material construction.
Does what you would expect. No fuss, no muss.
Works great and you can't beat the price. What could break, the chain? If that happens, just put on one of your old ones. Buy something else with the money you save on this tool.
Tried this tool instead of a more expensive model, and have no regrets. It makes removing the cassette so much easier, wish I would have bought one years ago and saved a few knuckles.
Good deal and worth buying.. It did its job without any issues getting my cassette out...
Heavy duty material, durable, works great.
Chain whip works perfectly for getting the rear cassette off.
