Troy Lee Designs Combat Knee/Shin Guards
Troy Lee Designs Combat Knee/Shin Guards provide your knees with impact-absorbing protection coverage, without inhibiting comfort and mobility. Designed specifically for the treacherous rigors of downhill MTB racing. A triple Velcro closure system keeps the guards comfortably in place, while an anatomically-correct, pre-bent design allows for comfort and free range of motion. The Combat Guard is available in a standard size for riders over 6-feet in height, as well as a short size for riders under 6-feet in height.
These Combat knee/shin guards from troy lee designs are probably the best deal on some quality protective gear for your legs you can find. They fit well, protect your knees and shins from pedals and rocks and they are comfortable. I won't ride without them now. I've been banging mine up for a couple years now and they still work great, smell fine, and fit perfectly. You sick of banging your pedals off your shins? Tired of smacking your kneecap on your handlebars and frame? Get protected. Get these Troy Lee Designs Combat knee/shin guards!
Picked these up because my Fox Launch knee pads were not long enough to cover my shins. Somehow I have been able to scrape my shins quite a bit over the last few months so I gave these TLD guards a try. I like how they can be put on without having to remove your shoes. The straps allow you to fit them on how tight or loose you want. I used them on a few sections at El Moro last weekend and although I felt invincible in them, the knee covering area was not super comfortable when pedaling. I am going to keep these for any shuttling and DH stuff I plan to do but will have to think if I want to use them for everyday aggressive stuff. I always lean towards more protection whenever I ride because I push my bike hard but these might not be practical to wear for an entire ride.
These are my first pair and they have save my legs and bandaids. The only issue i have is with the sizing. It stated short in the description but i received a large and they are just a little small. They still fit ok though. When i searched for sizing info short was not an option with troy lee designs. Other than the sizing id rate these a 5 stars.
