Truvativ Hussefelt 700 Comp Riser BarNamed after the massive stone that's carried by behemoth men in the Strongman competitions, the Hussefelt Comp bar is beefy. But don't let its toughness fool you-even with its strength and width, it's light enough to help get you up the hill as well as down. Available in 2 different rise options (20mm and 40mm), their proven shape (9-degree back-sweep, 5-degree up-sweep) and bold black color option - Hussefelt Comp is a rock-solid value.
This seems to be a solid bar. My son, not quite 100 pounds, is running on his jump bike and it's working great.
I was worried about going wider all the way to 700mm from 640mm. I'm on a 26" HT and im 6'4". These bars feel great though, have not taken a ride yet, but I defiantly feel more comfortable on these just testing them. There seemed no need to get a shorter stem either.
Bought this bar and stem set up a while ago just to upgrade things on my old all mountain bike, also wanted to try a wider bar. It was a great upgrade from my old bars and stem in looks and performance. I would quickly advise any one to get the bars and handle bar set.
Perfect match for an 08 Marzocchi 888 wc. My bike weighs 44lbs and this was much lighter than my raceface diabolus dh even when it's cut shorter. It has a nice flick on turns that doesn't feel heavy. Love it.
I picked this product because I wanted to try a wider handlebar for my bike. It did not fit right away so I called Pricepoint customer support and I was directed to a perfectly compatible stem to match my new handlebar. Although this is really a downhill setup I bought it for cross country singletrack. I was happy with how it looked and felt on my bike. With my new Hussefelt combo in place I tried it out. Ay first I was all over the place wrenching my bike left and right. I discovered that I had to use much less force and pull to put my bike in the right direction and that is why I wanted a wider bar in the first place. I have no problem recommending the Hussefelt handlebar (and the stem) as it did everything I wanted it to do. I had less wrist strain, a wider stance on my bike, less pushing and pulling to turn, and a smoother more comfortable ride.
This is a very stiff, no-frills bar. I have this on my single-speed and it was a great upgrade in width and stiffness
What can you say about hussefelt? value priced for heavy hitting products. super stiff and not excessively heavy comes in a nice width and if you need or want to, easily cut down. they have held up to a couple real solid crashes without even a mark on them.
