VP Components Varial Headset
The VARIAL makes it possible to easily dial in the handling characteristics of any bike equipped with a 1.5 head tube.. The VARIAL is completely self-contained and does not require disassembly to adjust. Adjustment can be made in 2 minutes using allen wrenches while you straddle the top tube. No sacrifice in suspension travel or significant change in position on the bike.True All-Mountain performance and truly free Freeride
VARIAL can give AM/ENDURO, as well as both short and long travel FREERIDE bikes the handling of an XC/Trail bike for flat terrain and climbs, or the handling of a Downhill bike for descents. The VARIAL gives true versatility and gives the bike increased capabilities and ride-ability . Adding up to 1.5 to the head angle speeds up the steering response, shortens the wheelbase, and puts more weight on the front wheel to reduce wheelie tendency and provide better traction. Reducing by up to 1.5 slows the handling, increases the wheelbase, makes the bike more stable at high speeds and makes the handling more controlled and predictable on steep trails and over rough terrain.
