  • Rear tire brakes and accelerates like a wider tire while keeping weight low
  • Front tire has superior steering control and grips tight under corners
  • Perfect for any terrain from wet to dry and loose to rough

Great tires for the price! - Jun 07, 2014

I have used VelociRaptor tires for over 7 years and they've been a great all-around mountain bike tire. The rear tire hooks up great in pretty much any condition. They're fast rolling and I've never had sidewall failure and never had a pinch flat. My only complaint is that after some wear, the front loses significant cornering ability as the side knobs have difficulty hooking up in loose conditions. However, they are FAST!

Great all-around tire - Apr 23, 2014

I've used velociraptors for many years in all kinds of terrain and conditions, and I've gotta say they are my favorite tire on the market. They hook up with everything the east coast throws my way, roots, rocks, mud, hardback, loose shale, whatever. For the price I believe there is no better tire on the market.

Classics - Apr 23, 2014

Can it be that i've been riding these tires for over 15 years now? These tires go back a ways but don't leave much room for improvement. Make sure you note that they make a different front than rear tire. The front provides excellent steering control while the rear grips for climbing. Both work great in all kinds of soil. There's a reason these remain so popular after so many years on the market.

Very grippy, great on the loose - Apr 17, 2014

The VelociRaptor tires are probably one of my favorite mountain bike tire designs. These tires are durable and aggressive. One thing that really makes this tire design so good is how grippy these tires are, they work great in loose dirt and fire road gravel. I would use these tires any day on the trail. Overal I would recommend these tires to a friend.

LUVIT!!! - Sep 11, 2013

These tires offer great traction in the worst conditions, but the only down side I see is riding on wet wood. There is no added grip and it can be a bit dangerous. They throw up mud a lot but at least it's gripping the dirt. Overall these tires have lasted me 2 seasons and still have plenty leftover and they are unbeatable for the price.

I have had this tire on multiple bikes and must say that it is a steady performer and great value. The tread pattern bites really well in a lot of different terrains. The rubber compound really seems to last a long time as well.
