WTB Wolverine Race Tire 26 x 1.95
The Wolverine Race's lightweight design and low rolling resistance make it great for XC racing or climbing... really fast. Ramped fast rolling center knobs combined with aggressive outside knobs let you rail through corners without losing momentum, making the Wolverine Race a race-ready XC tire that'll leave your competitors in the dust.
This pair of WTB Wolverine 1.95 XC Race tires is the best deal and best quality for tires in this sizing at a sale price of under $25 each. The actual tire measured at a approximate 1.79, not the stated 1.95, set also weighs at 452 grams front \ 466 grams rear, less than stated on the PricePoint site. Pairing does handle similar to a bigger tire, with great traction, cornering, and braking. Combining the Wolverine XC with my Continental presta MTB light tubes at 134 grams each provided a super smooth and quite ride. Depending on the weather and temperature, tires are inflated to approximate 40psi front/ 50psi rear, for a 230 pound rider . . . performance can be disappointing in the extreme 90 plus degree heat of Florida . . . Wolverine XC is better than my previous tire sets from both Kenda and Michelin.
