They work for my purpose. Have them on my commuter that I take to work with flat shoes, but also wanted the ability to take longer rides on when I can't take my other bike to the trails. It is annoying when I'm trying to go from a stop and end up on the side with the clip... but how can I blame them for that? No problems so far. The pedals and cleats clip in and out nicely and I have plenty of grip on the flat side. A good solution for the commuter and occasional weekend rider.
