PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This deceptively simple shim is the answer to a conundrum more and more riders are facing every day- your new frame has a BB30 bottom bracket but you've got a perfectly good set of non-BB30 Shimano cranks.
Instead of dropping a wad on a new crankset, this adapter allows you to run Shimano Hollowtech II cranks (the current two piece style with external bottom bracket) in a BB30 frame.
A couple of very important things to note:
1) This adapter only works with 24mm non-tapered spindle cranks- Shimano Hollowtech II and Race Face X-Type cranks are the only compatible cranks. No others will work with this adapter.
2) You will need to use BB30 bearings as your external bottom bracket won't be used. These shims fit right into industry standard BB30 bearings and are a breeze to install.
