White Lightning Clean Streak Dry Degreaser 23oz Can
Clean Streak is cycling's first and most effective Dry Degreaser. Cleaning even the grimiest, greasiest drivetrain parts has never been easier. Clean Streak works fast to break down and wash away stubborn grease, road grime and dirt.
Theres a reason it's so popular. It works. Its a must for any home mechanic. Makes cleanup and maintenance easier. Spray on and it quickly breaks down the grease and it dries quickly also.
I've used this for about a year. I use it on multiple things not just to clean my mtb. I've found myself using it on hinges around the house and car to clean them up and then put some oil on them when it's dry. Which is dries pretty quick. No complaints
I tried this stuff thinking it probably doesn't work like the can says it will, but I surprised that it did. I first cleaned my chain with the Park Cyclone Chain Scrubber and the Park Citrus Chainbrite Solvent, mostly because the Park chain cleaning machine has a magnet in the bottom and most debris on a chain that causes wear is minute particles of metal from your gears. After I do that the chain is still sort of black, not as clean as l like it so instead of doing it again in the machine with clean solvent I sprayed this stuff and man it took off the darkness off the chain and gears and then dried in less than 30 seconds instead of 6 to 8 hours for the Park solvent to dry. I love this stuff.
Worked well in my finish line chain cleaner
This stuff just works as advertised. Strips heavy gunk out of the drive train with a simple spray off. Used it on my road bike after a long spring of dirt and salt and it returned the cassette and chain to like-new condition in minutes.
This stuff is great. It cleans very well without the need for a hose. I hate using water on my bike, fearing I might get water in bearings or other components where water can create problems if not thoroughly dried. Clean Streak makes the cleaning process quicker and easier.
I don't usually buy bike-specific cleaning products, as generic solvents, etc., usually do the trick for less. But I tried this product a couple of years ago, and have become a convert. This stuff is effective at cleaning most bike parts - particularly removing the veneer of grease left behind after messy work - and it does so without damaging the finishes on the parts. Cheap carb-cleaner still has its place, but this stuff is definitely my go-to cleaner for many applications. Recommended.
