PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

IRC Mibro-X Folding Tire

IRC has dropped an entirely new, aggressive Mibro tread pattern on us in the form of the hyper-knurled Mibro-X which is designed to enhance abrasion-resistance, grip and braking performance. Extraordinary "gap pitch" alignment increases control during acceleration and deceleration while balancing tread patterns.

  • Knurled patterned tread on shoulders prevents slippage during cornering
  • Butyl coating on inner tire wall prevents air seepage
  • Balance, length and rigidity of center knob grips tight to hard surfaces

IRC Mibro-X Folding Tire - Sep 30, 2013

SECAUCUS, NJ

I recently mounted this 26 x 2.25 on the front of my hard tail. I ride cross country only. These are great tires for sandy trails... it gave me excellent control pushing into corners and turns on deep sand. I wanted to see its limits so I purposely tried to wash out but this tire really dug in and held me steady. I also like the knobs on the edge of this tire. They enable this tire to grab the side of a "u" shaped sunken trail when I wanted to go up or down the side. Excellent control. I have not ridden it in mud yet, only hard pack and sand. Tire is maybe a little heavier than what's out there, but this tire serves my purposes.

Great Price, very light, Great traction - Jun 23, 2013

These are 1/2 the weight of the 2.5's they replaced. I was shocked to see that they were so might thinner That my WTB Prowler MX 2.5 tire's. My Friends specialized 2.1 were the same width or very slightly larger. They do handle very well in the dry powdery dirt and sand I must say. Nice tread pattern. I've ridden on them 4 times already and today some serious downhill with great results. I had an issue right away today where my rear felt like it was rolling sideways a little extra tire pressure than I would normally run in the rear fixed it and the rest of the ride was great. Not as good as my Prowlers on the DH but they held their own. Hope they hold up as the side walls seem pretty thin. I might put a larger DH 2.5 on the rear for peace of mind and keep these for the front, I need a few more rides and tire pressure adjustments to see if I need to go there. I gave them 3 stars due to the width issue, again these are close to 2.1s not the 2.40 it says on the sideway.

No where even CLOSE to the stated sizes! The 2.4 measured 2.1, and the 2.24 measured 1.9. The 2.4 weighed 760g and the 2.25 was 840!
