Low Normal Derailleur System

(Recommended for use with Dual Control Levers)

Shimano's low normal or Rapid Rise rear derailleur is recommended for use with Shimano Dual Control Levers. A Low normal rear derailleur uses spring force to execute shifts;
no force is required from the rider to carry out shifts. Inward shifting is further enhanced by the ability to pre-select gears, or initiate shifts with out pedaling.

Benefits: Rider focus is on the trail and not on shifting.

Top Normal Derailleur System.

(Recommended for use with Rapid Fire Shifters)

Top normal rear derailleur is a traditional sprung rear derailleur, recommended for use with Shimano Rapid Fire shifters. Shifts are
executed by rider via a thumb actuated trigger. Shifting is quick
and precise.
