From the easy and flexible shifting performance of the Dual Control™ shift lever to the super-lightweight, linear response, & ultra-light disc brake design, XTR continues to be the benchmark of off-road cross-country component design.

Incorporating the benefit of rigidity with minimal weight of the Hollowtech II® combined bottom bracket and crankset system, the new FC-M970 manages to drop even more weight while increasing shifting performance and durability. Hyperdrive front drive system / Enhanced durability / More precise bearing adjustment / Lighter weight and more versatile.

Shimano XTR M970 Hollowtech II Crankset w/ BB features a new composite chainring design for improved durability, Titanium/Carbon composite chainring, and an optimized lightweight design for reduced weight while maintaining rigidity. Hyperdrive technology for best front shifting. New easier installation for left crank with better bearing adjustment.

Integrated bottom bracket and crankset design reduces the number of parts, significantly cuts down weight and increases rigidity. Hollowtech II designs allow the bottom bracket bearings to be spaced more widely. This dramatically changes the loads on the bearings to increase rigidity and bearing service life.
