The demand for creative and functional single speed components has increased significantly over the last several years as the industry has witnessed an increased interest in both road and off road single speed riding. Several different single speed hubs were designed to accommodate the needs of various bicycles and component requirements. Bikes with vertical dropouts require a means to tension the chain. Chain tension can be addressed three ways by utilizing a chain tensioner, an eccentric bottom bracket, or with White Industries’ Eccentric ENO rear hub. The eccentric rear hub allows the rider to adjust the chain tension by simply rotating the elliptical axle ends up and back in the dropouts whereby the chain pulls into tension. The hub axle bolts are then secured to the frame and the bike is ready. It is easy, clean, and simple. When using a disc brake with the White Industries ENO Eccentric Disc Hub you will also need to use the White Industries ENO Eccentric Disc Brake Adapter (sold separately). The Disc ENO is designed to accept a six bolt disc brake rotor on the non drive side of the hub. The ENO hubs are made in the USA.
“…What is there to say? They’re light, simple, shiny and smooth. Bearing life has been fine so far, and they haven’t made any funny noises. We used a disc front, and a standard non-disc rear. They are available, however, in both disc or non-disc options, as well as a rear ENO eccentric style, which allows for clean adaptation of vertical-dropout-equipped-bikes to singlespeed use without tensioners.” Ferrentino, Mike. “Style in Spades” Bikemag.com. http://www.bikemag.com/gear/drivetrain/032806_white/

disc brake with the White Industries
ENO Eccentric Disc Hub, how do you
adjust the caliper to match up with
the newly adjusted hub?

Adapter to allow for
proper caliper placement.

9 speed cassette on the White
Industries ENO Eccentric Disc Hub?
Answer: No, the White
