Zaffiro Pro, new tread for an increased safety for training.

Thanks to the newly developed tread, with deeper cuts in the middle and shallower on the shoulders we achieved a better water dispersion (Aquaflow computer simulation) and a faster and safer tire when cornering. 60 TPI casing, Aramid Endura 3D Compound new compound (for a lower rolling resistance) and foldable bead all sum up to enhance the Zaffiro Pro as the ideal training tire.

Training tires are never durable enough. For this reason we upgraded our Aramid Compound to increase its wear resistance, maintaining the safe and inspiring road-behavior our tires are famous for.

The application of "rain" car tire design to bicycles: water is driven out of the tread by the rotating forces acting on the tire where deep tread grooves allow water to escape quickly. The Aqua-Flow concept will be a constant feature for future city-trekking models and finds its first application in the new Randonneur family.

This casing is an updated version of our classic Nylon 60 and Nylon 26 TPI casings. Our addition of the High Carbon content has improved the durability of the casing while maintaining a good balance between comfort and performance.

Value priced performance tires that incorporate 60 TPI nylon casing cord and offer a high level of performance while maintaining the durability and the usual comfortable ride you expect from Vittoria.

PRB is a thin lightweight but extremely strong material that is placed under the tread in order to achieve maximum puncture protection while maintaining low rolling resistance.
