The Shimano Ultegra 6700 rear derailleur features a larger chain wrap capacitiy to allow a larger gear selection. What does that mean? You can have a compact crank and have a 11x28 rear cassette and have no problems in shifting! Shimano also added more material at the pivots just like they have done in their XTR series. This allows for quicker and crisper shifting.
