How often do I need to lubricate my chain?

That depends on how often you ride, and in what conditions.  Keep your chain clean and lube it if it looks dry or is creaky when you ride.  There are many different lubricants available – try a few and you will find the one that is best suited to the weather and riding conditions in your area.

When do I need degreaser?

Degreaser is useful when you do significant maintenance on your bike.  You can use it to clean parts and soak the removed chain (then apply a fresh coat of lubricant) for flawless drive train performance .

Will I need grease as well?

If you are repacking hubs or installing bottom brackets, quality grease is a must-have.  It’s also useful to grease bolts when changing out parts such as saddles or seat posts.
