If it's on a GT bike, it's there for good, reliable, recognized, and valid reasons. Everything they put into their bikes has been proven time and again to give you a better ride so you can be a better rider. It's that simple.

Learn More About GT Technology

ALL MOUNTAIN MATERIALS

GT All-Mountain bikes are forged using either their Monocoque fabrication process or a lighter-weight alloy blend.

The Monocoque fabrication process can form shapes that withstand exceptionally merciless terrain. Perfectly suited for the rigors of all-out, high-speed gravity riding.

FOC AM fabrication yields a frame that’s almost as rugged as GT's XM blend, but in a lighter-weight package, by using smaller tube diameters and different lay-up protocols. But don’t let the weight fool you. It’s still strong enough to handle a good whipping.

CROSS COUNTRY MATERIALS

GT's XC race bikes are constructed using either their proprietary FOC carbon fabrication process for minimal flex or their lighter-weight speed metal for easier climbs.

The proprietary FOC methodology for carbon frame fabrication allows GT to make a bike frame that doesn’t flex in ways it shouldn’t because of pedaling, steering or impact forces. Basically, you get a frame that rides the way you want without sacrificing the strength and durability you need.

GT Speed Metal is a lightweight aluminum construction designed to be light enough so you can climb with the XC crowd, with the ability to leave them comfortably behind on the way down.

FOC ULTRA

FOC Ultra takes a minimalist approach to carbon fabrication by using the fewest layers of high-modulus carbon possible to achieve a stiff, reliable, responsive ride. In other words, light enough for GT's peloton-ready machines, burly enough for their XC race bikes.

FOC XM

FOC XM optimizes GT's XM blend of carbon to withstand the abuse of the UCI World Cup DH circuit. The proof? The first (and only) full-carbon frames to take home both a DH World Cup win and a DH World Championship Podium. It’s also the first (and only) full-carbon frame trusted by Atherton Racing.

Independent Drivetrain

This suspension does its job. Period. Because it operates independently of the drivetrain, the suspension can focus solely on its intended purpose – a smoother, faster ride – without making compromises in pedaling efficiency. And because it’s an inherently simple design, it’s easy to set up, ride and maintain. Sound good? Good.

Triple Triangle

Originally developed to extend the frame life, stiffen the rear triangle and thus create a faster, more responsive ride, the Triple Triangle™ frame has transcended its role as just another tech story and become an iconic symbol of who we are and what we stand for.
