I use the outer links with Gore shift cables and liners and the combination shifts really well. Unlike the Gore housing, the I-links don't need periodic trimming or replacement. They do compress slightly after they are installed, so you may have to adjust the cable tension during your initial rides after installation. One of these days, I'll try them as a complete brake cable system.
