ISIS Explained:
ISIS bottom bracket spindles feature a 10-flute spline, one-degree tapers and 16mm long splined ends. Increased crank/spindle interface spreads loads over a wider surface area. One-degree tapers provide a creak-free tolerance fit. The stop shoulder design prevents distortion to the crank arm socket from repeated removal/installation. Oversized bolts prevent loosening or creaking. ISIS bottom brackets will only fit ISIS splined cranks.

Sure, Han Solo may have been talking about the Millenium Falcon but his classic line can also be applied to ceramic bottom brackets. Install one on your bike and you'll swear you somehow hooked up a hyperdrive to your bike.
It's a well established fact that ceramic bearings roll much smoother and last much longer than their standard steel counterparts. This Wheels Manufacturing bottom bracket is made in the USA and is beautifully machined. The Evolution Ceramic Bearings are Grade 5 Silicone Nitride ceramic balls and are verified to be round to 5/millionths of an inch. These ceramic balls are harder and lighter than steel and completely resistant to corrosion to ensure a long life.
This bottom bracket is designed to be compatible with both Shimano and Race Face mountain bike cranksets using external bearings. We do not recommend using it on any other brand of crankset.

This is a strange thing because it's been long established that ceramic
bearings offer a significant performance and durability advantage over

ceramic bearing infused bottom bracket that is Shimano compatible. Made in the USA, this bottom bracket features the beautiful machining that is a Wheels Manufacturing trademark. The Evolution Ceramic Bearings are Grade 5 Silicone Nitride ceramic balls and are verified to be round to
5/millionths of an inch. These ceramic balls are harder and lighter than steel and completely resistant to corrosion to ensure a long life.
This bottom bracket is designed specifically for Shimano cranksets using
external bearings. It will also work with Race Face brand cranks as they
use the same 24mm spindle design. We don't recommend trying it on any
other brand of crank.

Wheels MFG BB30 Adapter
Wheels Manufacturing BB30 Shim for Hollowtech II Type 24mm Spindle Cranks
This deceptively simple shim is the answer to a conundrum more and more riders are facing every day- your new frame has a BB30 bottom bracket but you've got a perfectly good set of non-BB30 Shimano cranks.
Instead of dropping a wad on a new crankset, this adapter allows you to run Shimano Hollowtech II cranks (the current two piece style with external bottom bracket) in a BB30 frame.
A couple of very important things to note:
1) This adapter only works with 24mm non-tapered spindle cranks- Shimano Hollowtech II and Race Face X-Type cranks are the only compatible cranks. No others will work with this adapter.
2) You will need to use BB30 bearings as your external bottom bracket won't be used. These shims fit right into industry standard BB30 bearings and are a breeze to install.

It's a Blu-Ray world these days and for those of you still rocking the crank equivalent of VHS, this Octalink bottom bracket is on the case to help keep your otherwise perfectly good bike on the road.
Octalink bottom brackets are compatible across the board so even though this is a 105 bottom bracket, it works just fine with Ultegra and Dura Ace plus any other brand of crankset utilizing the Octalink design.
This particular bottom bracket is English threaded and measures 68 x 109.5mm, which is the spindle length to fit double cranksets. This bottom bracket is not compatible with triple set ups.

Truvativ BB30 to BSA Adaptor Kit 2012
Truvativ BB30 Adapter
This adapter and a bit of elbow grease will convert a frame's BB30 bottom bracket shell into a standard, English threaded bottom bracket.
As the BB30 bottom bracket standard is universal, this adapter will work on any style of frame with a BB30 bottom bracket. Mountain, road or whatever it doesn't matter. A BB30 bottom bracket is a BB30 bottom bracket.
This kit includes the adapter, retaining compound (aka Loctite) and the adapter sleeve installation tools. Installation requires the use of a Park Tool HHP-2 headset press or equivalent device. Installing one of these is a best done by someone who holds a 2nd degree black belt in bicycle mechanics so we strongly suggest leaving this job to a trained professional.
Once inserted, the retaining compound needs 24 hours to cure before it's safe to install a crank. From there, this adapter is good to go for the duration. No maintenance is required and it won't loosen up or creak.
Please note: If your frame's bottom bracket shell is carbon fiber, installation of this adapter is permanent. It can not be removed. However removal is possible on frames with alloy bottom bracket shells be it a bonded insert in carbon frame or any non-carbon frame.
