PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Shimano RT86 6 Bolt Rotor

The clad steel / alloy / steel rotor construction allows heat generated from braking to radiate quickly through the aluminum core achieving surface temperature drops of around 50 deg C. When used with Ice-Tec pads surface temperatures can drop from around 400 to 300 deg C, this provides great improvements in performance all round.

  • Ice-Tec rotors achieve long pad life, less noise and less fade due to improved heat management
  • 6-bolt mounting system
  • Rotor contact surface has been developed for excellent pad clearing and cooling which increases pad performance and life
  • Large forged alloy spider supports rotor surface, increasing rigidity and reducing weight
  • Weight: 134g No Hardware

I order a 203 and 180 to go with the Shimano XT M785, good setup I must say. great heat dissipation and they do not squeak. I would of given it 5 stars but the 180 rotor was not true straight out of the box. But overall awesome rotors!

I was able to reduce my cross country bikes rotor size from SRAM 185mm down to these Shimano rotors in 160mm. The heat dissipation is fantastic. They runs silent and stay true. Great brakes!

I added these (180/Front, 160/Rear) as a replacement for my Avid Elixir CR brakes. What an improvement !! No squeals or groans !! This was part of an overall upgrade with the 785 XT brakes One thing to note - the installation instructions from Shimano are outdated. These rotors no longer ship with the lock ring as the instructions indicate. Instead, use the tabs and bolts that are included and bend the tabs up when complete. Recommended !!
