Wellgo LU-A52 Flat Pedals
The Wellgo LU-A52 Flat Pedals feature a aluminum body, Cro-Mo CNC machined spindle, and DU sealed bearings. The Wellgo LU-A52 Flat Pedals also features replaceable pins.
I've not ridden many flats, but from all accounts this is a good pair. I've only had them for about half a season, but they seem pretty solid. Most of the pins are replaceable and the bearings are sealed, which I feel are the two main features you want. You can spend more money to shave a little weight, but these are great for what they are.
I run these pedals with a pair of (admittedly well used) Giro Jackets and they cannot get a grip. My feet have slid off them on some of the more gentle berms I have put them through. Losing footing in the air is not uncommon either. I have had generic pedals grip better than these. I also use the same shoes with Sunline V1 and Giant MTB Core pedals and have no issues with grip.
Pedals are pretty good. I've found that these pedals do not grip normal everyday tennis shoes and have to stick with oddly enough indoor soccer shoes for the best grip on the pedal. They do feel like they will hold up very well as all of my Wellgo pedals have.
